DG CEO Receives Verified Badge on Twitter

DG Headquarters

Dexterity Global’s Founder and CEO Sharad Sagar has been awarded the prestigious verified badge (blue checkmark) from social media giant Twitter on his account @SharadTalks. With this, the internationally acclaimed entrepreneur becomes one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the world to receive this prestigious verified badge by Twitter. Sagar, who already has a verified page on Facebook (since 2014) with over 110,000 followers, was offered the blue tick by Twitter today.

Verified badges are given to highly sought celebrities and public figures or those at risk of impersonation. According to Twitter, “Verification is used to establish authenticity of identities of key individuals and brands on Twitter.”

In early 2016, when Forbes included the Dexterity CEO in the prestigious Forbes 30 under 30 list (alongside Malala Yousafzai, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and others), he created history by being the first ever from Bihar to make it to the world-fame list. Globally ranked #3, Sharad is the highest-ranked Indian on the list of “World’s 100 Most Powerful Young Entrepreneurs”, created by UK-based Richtopia.

In April 2016, the Dexterity CEO received an invitation from The White House to share his story and talk about Dexterity Global’s work and vision, a copy of which will be stored in the White House archive.

Sharad recently won the prestigious Samuel Huntington Public Service Award 2016, which is given to one graduating student in the United States. Previous recipients of this award include Dr. Vivek Murthy, the present Surgeon General of the United States.

The Dexterity CEO is quoted by international public figures and leaders, universities, organizations and media across the world. In 2015, Dr. Joyce Yen Feng, Hon’ble Minister of the Govt. of Taiwan quoted Sharad in Taiwan’s Social Impact, alongside the Father of Social Entrepreneurship (Mr. Bill Drayton). Michigan State University (one of the top 100 US universities) included the Dexterity CEO in their Social Entrepreneurship syllabus. Globally, hundreds of international organizations use Sharad’s quotes as their mission statements, pitches, and vision.

The Dexterity CEO declined a Master’s Admissions offer from Harvard University to come back to India and bring educational opportunities to every child.

After receiving the verified badge, the CEO said – “This is great news. I want to thank Twitter and its team for seeing value in what we do. This will help us engage more people in the work we do. I am truly honored.”
